In many cities in the area, the Solid Waste Services Department reminds residents that many household items can be recycled. For example, aerosol cans, aluminum and steel food cans, glass bottles and jars to name some.
Recyclable plastics have a recycling symbol printed on the bottom and number stamped (#1-3, 5-7) in the center of the symbol. The number is a resin identification code used to help sort materials.
Plastics #4, which includes items such as grocery, produce and frozen food bags, can be returned to most grocery stores and placed in a container usually located near the entrance.
Hope this information help you to think about recycling.
