10/10/09 Kelly Nelson accepts Commercial CSR position at Mainstay.

Mainstay is pleased to announce the most recent addition to our team.  Kelly Nelson started with Mainstay earlier this week. Having worked previously in the risk management and claims departments of a regional, publicly-owned company, Kelly comes to us with a well-rounded skill set. She is a graduate of Seattle University where she earned a BA in communications. We're looking forward to working with Kelly and welcome her to the team!

A detailed analysis of the just recently announced results of the 2009 annual review for the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Indexes shows that Zurich's scores are above average not only in the social, environmental and economic dimensions of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, but also in nearly all of the subcategories of these dimensions.

7/31/2009 New Employee Linda Oliphant joins the Mainstay Team!

We are pleased to announce that Linda Oliphant has joined the Mainstay Team as Underwriting Manager. Linda brings a in-depth skill set made up of both carrier and program administration experience.  She has held underwriting positions with AIG, Safeco and Reliance. Prior to joining Mainstay, she spent 5 years with National Specialty Underwriters in their underwriting and product development department. We are excited to have her expertise on board and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial employment relationship!

Mainstay has been recently approved for membership in the Target Markets Program Administrators Association.  Target Markets is an organization dedicated to the unique challenges faced by brokers managing specialty programs. They assist Program Administrators to  process business more efficiently, with greater proficiency and profitability. Target Markets is a leading resource in the industry for market contacts, education, networking and services pertaining to Program Administration.

03/15/2009 Upcoming Product from Mainstay Announced

Bellevue, WA – Mainstay Insurance Group will support the insurance needs of The Association of Green Property Owners and Managers (AGPOM). AGPOM was organized to promote environmental sustainability awareness and involvement among property owners and managers in all 50 states.

It is well documented that the man-made environment, including the real estate industry, has a substantial impact on the natural environment and long-term human health. As such, the sustainability movement continues to gain strength. AGPOM increases recognition and appreciation for eco-friendliness among real estate businesses.

The association maintains three (3) priorities engendering responsible participation:

• 1.Research and organization of trends, statistics and ongoing initiatives surrounding the  movement toward sustainability.
• 2.Dissemination of timely and useful information encouraging a reduction in environmental waste and use of non-renewable energy sources.
• 3.Making available innovative solutions for integrating sustainability into property owners and managers strategic business planning.

Mainstay will serve priority #3 by offering “Green” insurance products to members of AGPOM. Examples include property coverage that provides eco-friendly replacement cost and auto physical damage coverage that replaces customary cars with hybrid vehicles.

Mainstay Headquarters will be located in the Plaza East complex at 11100 NE 8th Street in Bellevue, WA. The following is an excerpt from a 2008 Fortune Small Business Survey on attractive venues for starting a new company. Bellevue, WA was ranked #1 in the country.
